Leaving Chicago in a rental car
Showed up to the wedding just in time.
The wedding photographer was inspired by us
The reception took place on a lovely old public works cabin campground site so we got a cabin.
We were just the right people to liven up the dance floor
The Ivars on Aurora ave is inexplicably the best regular Ivars
1st day of 6th Grade, 1st day of 1st Grade
1st day of 7th Grade
Installing a mini version of our house but for birds
There was a rotting BMW parked here since around 2007 on google maps but we noticed one day that it was gone. It was growing some interesting fungi specimens.
On the Edmonds ferry heading towards Port Townsend. What kind of a maniac uses an iPad 2 as a primary camera?
Wooden Boat Festival, Port Townsend
Stopped by the Stabile cabin
Hula hooping the sun down, as one does.
You can get a burger on the ferry but I think a cup of chowder on the front of the ferry on a nice day is really just about as good as it gets.
New experimental sandwich place in north Green Lake, top-notch
There's two places I can get off the train and get a really good sandwich and often make it back to the train in time for the next one and this is one of them.
Very pleased with this new signage that tells you if you need to hurry up or not.
Was heading to west seattle to pick up the red car and this BNSF cargo train was blocking all traffic so me and another guy did some creative wayfinding and got around well before this intersection was clear.

You may be able to read this, but you won't understand it unless you spend a lot of time around kids
Learning how to skate at Lynnwood bowl and skate, as one does
Mom made an exceptional plate of ribs
That's a thing you can go to
Protesting Seattle Public Schools' proposed decision to close down a bunch of schools and really not save any money due to the inevitable decrease in overall enrollment. Some of the schools they targeted would conveniently be in great places for private schools, who would have 1st right of refusal if the closed schools were put up for sale.
The district walked this decision back a week or two later after overwhelming public outcry.

Old infrastructure can sometimes be replaced by new infrastructure on non-destructive ways, preserving the old charm.

Riding the Lynnwood link to Lynnwood. Very nice.
When they're giving you the cheese but you'll tell them when it's enough
Jeffrey picked Olive Garden in Lynnwood for his birthday dinner because there was a meme circulating about the Olive Garden app and he thought it would be funny. It was actually pretty funny.
We found it funny that anyone would hate Lynnwood enough to write that on a drain pipe.
1st goal of the season.
Post-Ultimate friend time
Hugo really captured his rascal friend on his soccer team here
He had an interesting and entertaining assortment of birthday gifts
One of the new school separation zones was going to literally be poor kids in one school, rich kids in another. They really didn't think this through with regards to likely public reaction.
A fantastic birthday rainbow showed up. People were posting about it from across Seattle and even Vashon.
Picking up pizzas at our usual place
They all stayed up too late but were fine, of course.
