People often give more attention to the rough parts and less attention to the shiny parts because the rough parts are inherently more interesting. This rough part in a rough intersection is devalued by high car traffic. It is surrounded by shiny parts.


This new bruise factory opened up next to a light rail station so we can bring the kids here without driving. It's now a birthday party hotspot. Very nice.
