We started out the month with a trip to Legoland.
The place was filled with parents and kids with a new zest for life and appreciation for each other.
It was hot one day, cool and rainy another.
Jeffrey had to downgrade his experience more than once due to unwillingness to ride even mildly-serious coasters.
The kids were thrilled to order fancy-looking drinks filled with sugar and the parents were thrilled none of them finished them.
Hugo wasn't tall enough to ride any coasters so he made his own.
The kids enjoyed the newer Ninjago ride and dad thought it was lame.
We take this photo when we get a two-level house where the big kids sleep upstairs and Hugo is NOT ALLOWED to even go up there.
The cats were happy to see us come home.
If we're lucky enough to get a babysitter, a beergarden and a public garden is a perfectly suitable date.
We just walk around appreciating colors and textures and having nobody shouting.
The kids had their first foray into big business. They didn't listen to dad when he recommended they include Hugo. They also didn't make any money but managed to get mom to pay for about $8 in supplies.
We've had streaks of nice days and we cruelly force the kids to go outside and play. Huey is learning how to ride a bike with pedals.
Oskar comes outside and keeps an eye on the training.
Jeffrey can do 100 jumps in a row without stopping.
The kids completed the school year. Also pictured, starting the school year.
They said goodbye to a great babysitter who is going back to France for a while.
Sockeye likes to see how long she can keep dad from getting up.
We went to another Kügelbahn, this time among the vineyards.
Stopped at a winery on the way out.
It was too early for sampling so we just ordered one of everything, boxed up.
