We started in the Cascades and then sent most of the family to London.
Loads of quality grandma time.
Jeffrey swam and across and back at Lake Martha to get on the record.

Heading to the Olympics
Some of these green photos are northern England and some are the Olympics and you may be able to tell which is which.
Quality time with country England family
He was tired from the last 3 miles being all uphill and gaining a ton of elevation. He didn't know that we'd just arrived at our campsite.
We loved the wild blue huckleberries. They were everywhere once you started hitting the alpine area.
Arrived at Home Lake. It's about a mile high.
Kept going to Constance Pass. The old sign said 5800 ft but my 2023 USGS map said 6000.
These looked and behaved a lot like Edelweiss.
At a certain elevation there are wild rhododendrons everywhere.
We were going to spread it out to 3 days but the bugs at the campsite were aggressive and we felt like finishing out the whole hike and trying to make it home. We caught the last ferry of the night. The whole thing was around 21 miles in 2 days.
Who would have thought that thousands of years of dumping trash in a river would result in such in interesting pastime.
Day 1 of hunting with my cousin. We didn't see any bears.
Astrid was hanging out with her dad so Hugo had grandma all to himself.
Day 2 of hunting with my cousin. Didn't see any bears again, but we did get a great hike in.
They added new barriers for one of the bike lanes near our house which is nice when you're picking berries.
Jeffrey went to Florida with his mom to get some more sun.
Planting some huckleberries from the Olympics to see if they want to live here.
Headed to Lake Cle Elum, which isn't much of a lake this time of year but that's to be expected.
We decided to paddle the little river that was running through the dry lakebed. It's not really deep enough in many spots but we didn't know that at the time.
Left Hugo with grandma and headed to Port Angeles
Hugo was very busy in Yakima with chopping wood and tending to crops and livestock
We went to Cape Flattery, which is the northwestern-most point in the continental U.S.
We could see a seal hanging out in the distance. This is probably a great place to be a seal.
Headed back to Yakima where Hugo was doing a good job keeping things running.

Hanging out at KEXP
 Showing friends around town
A lot of people seem like they hang out in Cal Anderson park because they like being around people. This lady did quick drawings of two of our party in her sketchbook.
We figured out that these two seats that face each other on the bus are specifically made for staring contests.
